Gail Clark
Gail Clark began drawing when she was very young and always knew that she would be an artist. Her studio sits on the upper falls of the Royal River across from Gooch Island. The natural beauty of the landscape and the animals that live there have been the inspiration for much of her art.
Gail holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in painting and a bachelor’s degree in art education. As a painter, she has exhibited her work widely in both solo and group regional shows and has been selected for national juried shows. She has the honor of being the Clam Festival poster artist for 2022 and 2023. In 2022, as author/illustrator, she published her first children’s book, The Adventures of Eloise Violet and Madeline Rose, The Island which takes place in Yarmouth.
Gail lives with her husband and two French Bulldogs. Over the years, all of her Frenchies have been certified therapy dogs. They are frequent visitors at the Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital who bring happiness to the people they visit.
