Ashlyn Feeley
Ashlyn Feeley is a Boston-based artist and current student at Tufts University. She is majoring in Clinical Psychology and Child Studies and minoring in Studio Art. She graduated from Yarmouth High School in 2020 during which she received the Haystack Student Craft Institute Award (2019) and the Yarmouth Arts Alliance Scholarship (2020).
Ashlyn works with a variety of dry and wet media, such as watercolor and ink. Growing up in Maine, her work has been heavily influenced by nature, family, and capturing the feeling of “home.” Ashlyn’s style varies, as she enjoys drawing photo-realistic portraits while also turning her pets into potential children’s book protagonists. No matter the subject, her work places a great emphasis on tiny details and the use of vibrant colors. Explorations includes work spanning from Ashlyn’s freshman year of college to now, detailing a small chunk of her artistic journey.
Ashlyn has future hopes of becoming an art therapist or clinical psychologist who utilizes art in her therapeutic practice.
In summer, 2023, Ashlyn exhibited her work at the YAA Gallery Show, “Explorations,” at Merrill Memorial Library.
