Susan Myer Riley
I grew up in Southern Maine and spent summers combing the beaches for ‘treasures’ – a habit I continue today. My paintings depict the changing seasons and tides along our coastline and capture the shadows and light in Maine gardens. The studio is meditative and quiet where I work on several paintings at once, enjoying the option of layering colors and textures quickly or concentrating on details.
S. C. Myer (Susan Myer Riley/Fahlgren) was the Fine Arts Department Chair/Upper School Visual Art Teacher at North Yarmouth Academy 1985-2007 and now paints in her Yarmouth studio.
