The collection, created over the last 18 months, is an examination of the search for compassion and humanity in our changing world.

Thompson is a self-taught, mixed-media artist with a background in education - a B.A. in Child Development and a M.Ed. in Alternative Education. For 25 years she was involved in the field of education in a variety of roles: as a classroom teacher, educational consultant, program evaluator, curriculum developer, and homeschooling parent.

A self-described "obsessive gardener," Estabrook is also a mother and graphic designer. She is looking forward to sharing her work with her community. "My hope is that my art and the healing energy from the plant spirits it conveys will help spark or support your own personal insights and growth," said Estabrook.

October 29, 2016

Join us as we celebrate the opening of the Stonewall Gallery's fall show featuring new work by Yarmouth artist Margaret Lawrence. Wine, cheese, and light refreshments will be served at this free opening reception.

Lawrence's ethereal, abstract landscapes with their luminous colors and lively textures reflect her process of applying and removing paint. She writes, "Through the give and take of paint, an image that was inspired by a specific place transforms into a sense of place. This approach yields a rich and complex surface with deceptively complex colors." Lawrence studied at Maine College of Art and is currently represented by Greenhut Galleries in Portland.
